Flower: Bright red or yellow
Description: Beautiful cactus that can grow as tall as 6 feet tall and as 8 feet wide. Like most prickly pears, the “Santa Rita” cactus have flat pads. A distinctive feature of this cactus is its bright violet or purple edges. Direct sun and little water will help maintain the stunning color. Great landscape or container plant!
Sun: Full sun
Water: Drought tolerant when established. When the pads look thin and shriveled, water and the plant will recover.
Frost: 30 °F
